About Atlas
Overview
ATLAS VETERINAIRE is a veterinary pharmaceutical company working across the whole field: developing, manufacturing and distributing veterinary medicines (antiparasitics, anti-infectives, additives, supplements, vitamins, vaccines and more).
Founded in 1998, Atlas Vétérinaire has invested heavily in building up the local pharmaceutical industry, always working to the strict standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice).
With that in mind, the company built a factory fitted with cutting-edge technology so that everything is made to the international standards in force. Behind it is a team of experts: veterinarians, pharmacists, chemists and specialists in management, sales and finance.
The goal is straightforward: to give animal-health professionals at home and abroad medicines that meet their quality requirements, and to help fight animal disease at fair, competitive prices.
The plant sits on a 5,000 m² site, with 2,400 m² under roof. It has one department for liquid forms, another for dry forms and a third for sterile injectables, plus storage warehouses, air and water treatment units, and maintenance workshops.
Our Pharmaceutical Products
The products ATLAS VETERINAIRE makes or distributes come as vaccines, solutions, suspensions, gels and powders. They cover every therapeutic class, including antiparasitics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, vitamins, anticoccidials, vaccines and nutritional additives.
Improving our products is an everyday job, and it rests on the people and equipment in the quality-control lab at our production site. A qualified team is there daily, following each step of manufacturing closely, from the moment raw materials arrive to the release of the finished product.
We have the skilled people we need across everything we do, from development to manufacturing and distribution, and we run an ongoing training and qualification program for our teams, both in-house and outside.
Quality has been part of Atlas Vétérinaire from day one. We set up a quality-assurance system with the right people and resources behind it, with one aim: to bring all of our work in line with the standards and regulations that apply (GMP, GDP, GLP, VICH and others), namely:
- Manufacturing (the production process, validation, control and so on);
- Document management;
- Human resources;
- Equipment and premises (qualification, calibration, maintenance);
- Stock management and distribution.
To keep raising the bar, Atlas Vétérinaire adopted the ISO 9001:2015 standard alongside GMP, backed by an internal audit and self-inspection program it follows closely. The company earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification in July 2021 and passed its follow-up audit in August 2022, carried out by IMANOR.
On the back of this work, and after a series of professional audits, the national authorities (the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health) awarded Atlas Vétérinaire its Good Manufacturing Practices certification back in July 2009.
